 ustry\, public admin\, academiaLanguage: EnglishOrganizer: AI:ATPrivacy
and data protection are key elements of Trustworthy AI. They raise practic
al questions that are highly relevant for actors developing\, deploying or
using AI systems: How can personal data be processed lawfully throughout
the AI lifecycle? When do GDPR principles such as purpose limitation\, dat
a minimisation and transparency become challenging in AI contexts? How can
  responsibilities\, accountability and technical–organisational measures
be designed in practice? And what do recent legislative changes – notab
ly under the Digital Omnibus on AI – mean for organisations that process
personal data to develop\, train or operate AI systems? In this interactiv
e 2-hour session\, we will explore privacy and data protection in the cont
ext of Trustworthy AI. Participants will work with their own AI or pre-sel
ected use cases and reflect on approaches to compliant data processing\, r
isk assessment and privacy-by-design – including how to assess and apply
the new Omnibus easements in practice. Key topics include:Privacy and da
ta protection as core elements of Trustworthy AIGDPR requirements for AI d
evelopment\, training\, deployment and useLawful bases\, purpose limitatio
n\, data minimisation and transparency in AI contextsBias detection and co
rrection: processing of special categories of personal data where strictly
necessary to detect and correct bias\, under the conditions set out in th
e Digital Omnibus on AI / AI Act amendmentsData Protection Impact Assessme
nts (DPIAs) and risk-oriented approaches for AI systemsPrivacy by design a
nd by default: organisational and technical measures in practicePeer excha
nge on practical implementation challengesRisks of inadequate data protect
ion in AI projects Important: Participants are asked to bring a concrete
AI use case from their own work or project context. This use case will ser
ve as the basis for the interactive exercise and peer discussion during th
e workshop. There will be pre-selected use cases available for those parti
cipants not bringing a case with them. Target audienceThis workshop is de
signed for practitioners using and working on AI solutions\, including dev
elopers\, data scientists\, compliance officers\, data protection officers
\, and project stakeholders – including users from the broader public
 – who are interested in reflecting on privacy and data protection in AI.
This webinar is open and free of charge for all participants from academia
\, industry\, and public administration from EU and/or EuroHPC JU member c
ountries. Entry level & prerequisitesNo specific prerequisites are requir
