Playground Bundle
From ideas to working automations – build real AI workflows with n8n
The Playground Bundle is a hands-on learning programme for organisations that want to move from AI concepts to real, working automation and AI-powered workflows – without heavy coding.
Participants learn how to use n8n, a powerful low-code automation platform, to design, build, and deploy practical solutions for everyday business challenges, while also gaining essential knowledge about responsible and trustworthy AI use.
This bundle is designed as the next step after strategic AI orientation: it focuses on experimentation with practical applications.
What participants gain
Practical mastery of n8n:
Learn how to design, connect, and automate workflows using a low-code platform that integrates data, APIs, AI services, and business tools.
End-to-end AI workflow experience:
Build complete, functional use cases — from data ingestion and processing to AI-driven outputs and system integration.
Reusable solutions for daily work:
Develop automations that reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and unlock new digital capabilities inside your organisation.
Responsible AI in practice:
Understand key legal and ethical topics such as data protection, EU AI Act, copyright law, transparency, and trustworthy AI practices.
Confidence to continue building:
Leave the programme with concrete working prototypes and the skills needed to continue developing your own workflows.
Access to Austria’s wider AI ecosystem:
Connect with peers, experts, talent, and partner institutions to accelerate learning and spark new ideas.
Who is it for?
The Playground Bundle is ideal for:
- Enterprises, startups and public administration
- Innovation teams and digital transformation leads
- People from organisational departments
- Anyone who might benefit from AI-powered automation
Delivery format
This bundle is delivered through a combination of online workshops and hands-on labs.
Certificate of completion
After completion of all mandatory workshops, participants receive a certificate of completion.
In order to get a certificate, participants must complete:
- Introduction to n8n Workshop (offered monthly)
- One n8n Use Case Workshop (one offered every month)
- Trustworthy AI: Legal Aspects (self-learning)
Content
Introduction to n8n Workshop (online):
Participants receive a structured introduction to the n8n platform and its core concepts:
- Designing workflows with nodes and triggers
- Connecting APIs, data sources, and applications
- Handling data transformation and logic
- Integrating AI services into automations
- Best practices for building robust workflows
n8n Use Case Workshops (online):
Each month one of the following practical use cases is offered:
Build a Document RAG System & Customer Support Bot
Create a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline that ingests documents, retrieves relevant content, and powers an intelligent customer support chatbot.
Email-to-Task Automation
Automatically convert incoming emails into structured tasks, tickets, or workflow actions across business systems.
Generate Financial Reports
Build workflows that collect data, process financial information, and generate automated reports using AI-powered analysis.
Parse Incoming Invoices from Outlook
Design an end-to-end pipeline that reads incoming invoices, extracts relevant data, validates fields, and forwards structured information to downstream systems.
Each workshop results in a fully working automation prototype.
Trustworthy AI: Legal Aspects (online, self-learning):
This pre-recorded webinar builds on the previous webinar "Fundamentals of Trustworthy AI" and provides in-depth insights into the legal requirements that must be met when developing and using AI. In a one-hour online recording, knowledge about requirements arising from the AI Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and copyright law is imparted.
At the end of the recording, participants will know which risk classes the AI Act recognizes and what requirements arise from them. Furthermore, a solid understanding of data protection challenges are conveyed and the tasks that organizations must perform in order to use AI in a data protection compliant manner is discussed. Finally, an overview of copyright law is provided in order to convey sensitivity to the use of works for training AI and awareness of the use of generative AI results.
Join the AI ecosystem (online community):
Join the community to network, exchange ideas and find talent or like minded people who are also tackling AI adoption in their day to day workflows.
